What is a Chatbot?
A chatbot is an artificial intelligence computer program which executes a conversation through audio or textual modes. Chatbots are designed to imitate convincingly human behavior in a conversation as a partner, they are typically used in conversational Systems for various practical purposes like information acquisition or customer service. In modern times most of the chatbots are accessed by virtual assistants. Based on their functionality they can be broadly classified into Conventional commerce, analytics, communication, customer support, design, developer tools, education tools, entertainment, finance, food, games, health, HR, marketing, news, personal, productivity, shopping, social, sports, travel, and utilities.
AI Chatbots used in B. Tech colleges?
AI Chatbots can also be used in B.tech Colleges for purposes like selecting, sourcing, screening and communicating with the candidates. Recruiting chatbots are getting a lot of attention as a solution to the incumbent field problems. This is because the most common request from the admission seekers is “More Effective Communication!”. With the advent of the virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa candidates are welcoming the opportunity to interact with a chatbot.
Will Chatbots really help?
In a recent survey, 80% of candidates believe that Ideal Selecting is a balanced mix of Innovative Tech and human Intervention. The advantage of recruitment chatbot is it can be used over E-mail, SMS, Social Media and also through specific software. It can be used by B.Tech. Colleges to automate many time-consuming tasks like
- Collecting information from candidates.
- Asking screening questions.
Ordering candidates based on the predefined metrics of qualification. - Answering FAQ’s, the candidates usually have.
- Scheduling an interview with a Faculty
A chatbot is also useful for?
All of the above mentioned can be done Realtime and simultaneously for over thousands of candidates. This feature especially allows us to extend this technology to the field of Examinations. National Level exams like the IIT-JEE, JEE Mains, KCET, CUCET, etc which attract thousands of candidates could be serviced parallelly in real time which would end the tedious process of manual and semi-manual evaluation while helping faster or even Realtime declaration of the results. A Chatbot would automate about 80% of the “Top-Of-Funnel” Recruiting activities. It is Assumed that about 65% of applications for a seat are ignored. A chatbot could do the tasks a human recruiter doesn’t have the time nor the capacity to do. It’s important to remember chatbots are not designed to replace humans rather improve their efficiency and reduce tedious and tiresome tasks.
How are the Chatbots developed?
The smart Colleges develop their Chatbots on Content Marketing Models. It is the process of creating an organic channel for admissions using the content. Types of content include blog posts, videos, infographics, etc. Content can help acquire thousands of potential target candidates. I.e. content provide the ability to gain insights from user behavior via Machine Learning Algorithms.
Chatbots use the Dialogues Systems, there are two types of Dialogue System:
1) Goal Oriented.
2) General conversation.
For Recruitment Chatbot we require the General Conversational Dialog System, this can be broadly classified into two types Generative and Selective. The core philosophy for both is the same Machine Learning principle: Build it, Train it, Test it.
We generally build a model by Using a dialogue dataset, constraints, bot characteristics, access flow, and Sequence tokens. The problem with this is finding quality data dialogue, by extension a dialogue dataset for training our bot.
